outrageous cookie time

Last week, on this post, I was intrigued by the sound of Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies.  So I printed out the recipe, added a couple of ingredients to the shopping list, and on a rainy Saturday afternoon Phoebe and I baked.

We muddled our way through the American recipe, and baked some pretty good cookies.  We used crunchy peanut butter, which did give them a nutty texture, and half a bar of milk chocolate instead of chocolate drops.

I had mine with a glass of milk - American style.

What have you tried out for the first time lately?

  1. do you take orders? :-)
I haven't tried anything new recently but a few weeks ago, I did make outrageously gorgeous (and calorific) french toast (also from a US recipe) complete with lashings of maple syrup and crisp bacon for the first time to recreate some Canadian breakfasts!
